Child Bride (1938)
Exploitation

1h 2m
A teacher tries to stop the practice of child marriage, where older men marry preteen girls. This was promoted as "educational" in an attempt to draw attention to the lack of laws banning child marriage in many states. Because of a topless and nude swimming scene by then-12-year-old Shirley Mills, the film was banned in many areas. Its controversial nature gave it a certain infamy and it played on the so-called exploitation circuit for many years.

Sex Madness (1938)
From the director of Reefer madness comes...Sex Madness. Dwain Esper spared every expense on this one. It's hard to believe Gone with The Wind was being filmed at the same time.
